Altars - By No Surrender's Darius Jamal VanSluytman

We can finally share, the piece "Altars" composed by NS member Darius Jamal VanSluytman for Afruz Amighi's Night Paintings series of work. The music was part of a sound installation for Amighi's work which debuted February of this year at the Leila Heller Gallery in Chelsea (NYC).

The piece, inspired by Amighi's work and that of Vangelis has an ethereal feel flirting with new age, but staying in the dark electronic synth web NS material is known for. "Afruz's work always inspires me, and always gives me the sense of sprawling, mysterious holy places forgotten in the post-technological rubble. Kristine Kruta, a long time NS collaborator plays cello.
